Babes
Age 3+ Saturday 9:30 am – 10:30 am
- Working to build creative knowledge, ideas and basic techniques.
- Tap – Use characters and simple movements to introduce basic steps.
- Ballet – Preparation for Medal Mime exams, exploring movement through characters, stories and emotions.
- Modern – Fun, energetic movements to musical and modern music.
- Acrobatics – Working to increase strength and flexibility. (No extreme pressure here; not all 3 year olds will be able to do the splits!)
- Speech and Drama – Practise phonics and pronunciation through learning poems and nursery rhymes. Learn and sing songs. Opportunities to perform both poems and songs. Circle time to share thoughts, ideas and news.
Juniors
Year 3 – 6 Saturday 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
- Developing skills and knowledge, performance techniques and creating confidence.
- Tap – Building basic technique to primary examination level.
- Ballet – Building technique and developing musicality and expression through movement.
- Modern – Lively theatre dance based subject using modern and musical music.
- Acro – Building strength and flexibility, encouraging personal determination and development.
When examinations are not being prepared for, open classes will introduce new steps and concepts allowing time for practice and mastering.
Inters
Year 6 -8 Saturday 10:45 am – 12:15 pm
- Strengthening skills and knowledge, performance techniques and building confidence.
- Tap – Building on basic technique, developing understanding of timings and sounds.
- Ballet – Extending technique, building strength and developing lines.
- Modern – Lively theatre dance based subject using modern and musical music, with on focus on performance techniques.
- Acro – Developing strength and flexibility, encouraging personal determination and development.
When examinations are not being prepared for, open classes will introduce new steps and concepts allowing time for practice and mastering.
Pre-Seniors
Year 9+ Saturday 12:45 pm – 3:00 pm
- Mastering skills and knowledge, performance techniques and performance styles.
- Tap – Extending technique, continuing to develop understanding of complex timings and sounds.
- Ballet – Extending technique, building strength and developing lines. Developing to pointe work.
- Modern – Experience in a range of theatre dance styles, with on focus on technique.
- Acro – Continuing to develop strength and flexibility and progress to more challenging solo skills.
